Event caterers, Jackson Gilmour are delighted to have won a place on the Banqueting House approved catering list for the first time. They have also been retained at the Tower of London, another Historic Royal Palace venue.
Considered to be an Inigo Jones masterpiece, Banqueting House is a beautifully proportioned entertainment space and is one of the first examples of Palladianism being applied to an English building. The main hall, with its stunning Rubens ceiling is perfect for a grand party or a large banquet while the atmospheric Undercroft offers a more intimate alternative.
Anne Aitken, Jackson Gilmour’s Marketing and Events Director is excited at the prospect of showing clients this new event space:
“Banqueting House is a versatile space suited to both and large and smaller-scale events. The classical uncluttered architecture can be adapted and themed for different client needs and the external aspect and wonderful entrance hall is incredibly impressive. When you add to this the modern, accessible facilities, the convenient location and the good transport links, Banqueting House really ticks a lot of boxes.”
Jackson Gilmour has been catering at the Tower of London for several years with clients as diverse as hedge-fund managers and NFL players. The family-run caterers are thrilled to have been retained on the Tower of London list and Jackson Gilmour Operations Manager Francis O’Hagan is enthusiastic about the rare appeal of this exceptional venue.
“The Tower of London offers unparalleled heritage, an incredible location and an undeniable wow-factor. As a “destination” venue steeped in heritage – it works for clients both within the UK and overseas. We have found that the option to offer a private tour of the Crown Jewels is the perfect ice-breaker for high-profile events and the outside walkway has proved a big hit for pre-dinner drinks on summer evenings. It is a genuinely unique venue and we are honoured to have been retained on the list.”
