Private View at the National Portrait Gallery

04 December 2015

Jackson Gilmour were delighted to be chosen to cater for the National Portrait Gallery’s Trustees’ Dinner with a Private View of the Giacometti exhibition when it opened in November 2015.

Guests gathered and mingled in the Porter Gallery for drinks and seasonal canapés including pine nut risotto cake and smoked salmon blinis before moving into the sumptuous Weldon Galleries for dinner. For starters we served our classic combination of dolcelatte and spiced poached pears with aged balsamic followed by herb-crusted lamb on garlic mint jelly for the main course with a trio of vanilla panna cotta, caramelised kumquats and chocolate brownie for dessert. After dinner, guests were free to view the exhibition.

The logistics of the event required some extra planning as parts of the gallery remained opened during the event. Jackson Gilmour waiting staff, chefs and managers were required to remain mindful of the public as well as guests throughout the evening.

Many stunning spaces are available to hire at the National Portrait Gallery and a private view of exhibitions can be arranged for guests.
